Haley’s story of the week is this: She had a sliver in her foot and after I picked & prodded at it with no luck, I asked Craig to bring me some tweezers, only to have Haley start kicking and yelling “No! No! Don’t touch it! Jesus will heal it!” So I told Haley “fine” and she had better go start praying…and she bolted out of the room to go pray.

Cole’s fiasco: After a long day, I thought Cole might enjoy a bath. And since he had already pooped 3 times that day (yes 3 big ones) I figured it would be safe to put him in the tub, after all, he doesn’t usually do his “business” in the tub. So there Cole is playing in the tub…. He stands up and is walking around in the tub, playing, playing, playing, and then Whoosh…two massive (and I mean massive) poops plop into the tub. No grunting, no face reddening, no warning…just the two poops that are now in the tub. I am stunned and cannot even think of what to do first as it is just barely registering in my head as to what has just occurred. Do I get him out first? Do I get the toys out first? Or do I get the poop out first? Craig pulls Cole out, but doesn’t know what to do with him, so he puts him on the tile floor. Well, of course, Cole is wet and causes the floor to be wet, which causes him to slip, so now we also have skid marks on the bathroom floor too. Yes. Skid marks. So, then Craig is holding him upside down as I am trying to wipe his bum up so we don’t get poop on the towel, all while Haley is standing there continually saying “Ewwwww.” I ask her to get me a plastic baggy so I don’t have to actually touch the poop. She comes back with the bags and while I am trying to somehow pick up the now disintegrated upon impact of the water poop (which I am having no luck) she proceeds to tell me that when SHE is a mom, she will NOT be cleaning up poop. She will only be riding the rides (referring to the Santa Monica Pier rides). Yeah, we’ll see about that Haley :) I still have yet to clean and sanitize the gazillion bath toys. But hey, what’s a little poop between friends.
